Reuinion planning has begun!

Greetings fellow Troubies!

I'm going to attempt to use this blog as an alternative to Facebook.  At some point, we may have an official reunion website up, but for now this is going to be the spot to come to for reunion info.  There has been a lot of information flying around the Facebook page, so in this first blog entry I will do my best to convey it all to you as simply and clearly as possible.

The date:

Nothing has been set in stone, but at this point we are leaning toward Thanksgiving weekend, 2013.  This would put our events on Friday the 29th, Saturday the 30th, and Sunday the 1st.

The plan:

As you can see from the above dates, we are working toward a weekend model that will be held here in Sacramento.  Proposed events include the Alumni basketball game, a casual evening of cocktails and dinner, a choice of group activities (wine tasting, or a scavenger hunt through Old Sacramento, for example), a formal dinner, and a family barbecue.  We would have each of these events priced separately, and you'll have the freedom of choosing some of the events, or attending all of them.

The committee:

We have a nice sized group of people that will be hard at work to create an unforgettable event.  They consist of...

     -Gabrielle (Wolf) Rocco
     -Christa (Martinez) Larkin
     -Janet (Jimenez) Sellers
     -Karen (Moreno)Petruzzi
     -April Walden
     -Amy Hanrahan
     -Melanie (Rees) Tramell
     -Carlin (Folkedahl) Renderos
     -Lindsay (Wilson)Terry
     -Jennifer (Urrutia)Wong
     -Caprice Corona
     -Pauline Subang
     -Cara (Love) Stayner
     -Francing Edralin
     -Monika Lopez
     -Molly (Adolphson) Hurtt
     -Sneha Patel
     -Karen Von Boetticher

Our committee is divided into four teams...

     -Promotion
     -Venue
     -Entertainment
     -Finance

If you would like to be a part of the reunion planning committee, we always have room for more.  Please message me through this blog, contact me on Facebook, or email me at gabriellewolf@hotmail.com (put "SF reunion" in your subject so it doesn't get lost in my spam folder).

Watch this space:

We will be posting on this blog (as well as on Facebook) as we solidify our ideas for the reunion.  Become a follower so you don't miss out on any important updates.  As we are still in the infancy stages of planning, it's possible that everything may end up changing!  Also, be sure to check out our Facebook page:

In closing:

At the end of each blog entry, I will ask you a question, which may or may not be vital to planning the event.  Some questions will be to help us narrow down what is going to appeal to the most people.  Some questions will be to help us get to know each other.  Some questions might be used for games and/or trivia at the reunion.  And others might just be for fun :).

Today's question is:

What was your favorite movie that came out during our high school years ('90-'93)?

  1. Oh my gosh... so many movies to choose from! Why did I pose this question anyway? Um, um, okay, here are a few that stand out for me:
Edward Scissorhands, Pretty Woman, Beauty and the Beast, Point Break, Aladdin, Wayne's World, Robin Hood: Men In Tights, and Schindler's List. Phew! That was hard!

1990: Pretty Woman, Home Alone, Ghost (work that clay!), Flatliners, Misery, Lord of the Flies (ok, well not really but Wendy White, do you remember your brother Wade running around us chanting "Down with Piggy! Down with Piggy!"?)
